This image has been hand painted onto a kitchen wall in Sussex, and depicts the view westwards from Birling Gap cottages in East Sussex, with the Seven Sisters stretching away to the horizon. Both retired, the couple who commissioned this work are nature lovers and avid fans of wild flowers and fossil hunting. On the two dimensional windowsill you will see objects relating to their interests. The internal window frame is painted with varying shades of the wall paint used for the rest of the wall, creating the illusion of light falling from one side into the window.
